Alternative Registries

I have read a lot of different things and heard a lot of chatter on both sides, but I believe that alternative registries (for camping gear, honeymoons and charities) are a wonderful way for a couple to express themselves and to focus on spending time together, experiencing new things together, and supporting causes they believe in together instead of acquiring more items to fill their homes (which are likely to be small starters anyway!). We will have 3 registries: 1 at Crate and Barrel, 1 at Bed, Bath and Beyond and a 3rd with Team in Training. We would like to participate in a triathlon together and would love to support this great group (who I ran my first marathon with) at the same time. Do you have any alternative items or categories on your registry?

Things I Love...Registry Edition

I feel very blessed to say that I have just about everything a girl could want; I have a beautiful home of my own, great friends, a supportive family and a wonderful fiance. When it came time to register, Andrew and I tried to be spares because there was very little that we needed. However, seeing this today on Weddingbee reminded me that even the girl who has it all can still dream from time to time. How beautiful is this china? I din't even know I wanted china until I saw it. Anything on your registry that you are coveting?

Crate and Barrel Wedding Registry Parties

Great news for brides and grooms to-be! You can attend a Crate and Barrel Registry Party on Sundays from now until March 2nd and revel in your newly endgaged status. My fiance and I went the weekend before last; we enjoyed a captive audience from store clerks, free food and mimosas, and an opportunity to register in a less crowded Crate and Barrel. Though registering still has its stressful moments, this was the way to go. And, we got a bowl like the one in this picture as a free gift!
